I thought I'd write this in a separate entry, because whilst technically it's today's, it didn't seem to fit with the rest of the weekend.
Today I finally got my virtual pc environment working. It's like having another PC running on top of my notebook… not emulated though – it's just… there! This now means I've got an Apache and Postgres server I can work against, and I don't need to carry around any extra hardware. What a top idea that is.
