It has recently been drawn to my attention that some CD's are better than others for waking one up in the morning.

The other week I was fine, because I had the soundtrack from “Brazil” in my CD player, and that kicks off with a great trumpet fanfare. I swapped it over after a short while though, because it kept scaring the bejeezus outta me.

Next attempt was Wild Cool and Swingin' Too, but I always feel weird being woken up by Ultralounge – a little too cheesy for breakfast ?

However I really failed on my latest attempt – one of my favourite albums of all time, Wish You Were Here. Aside from the fact the gentle intro doesn't wake me up, I find I want to stay in bed & listen to it, and once it's finished, I just wanna snooze off back into dreamy land.

I wonder what I should put on instead – suggestions, anyone ?
