It also recently occurred to me that for my birthday (my 10th or 11th I think?) I begged, pleaded, and eventually convinced mum to take a bunch of us to Downtown on Hindley Street. Being a Saturday afternoon, we'd already spent a large chunk of the morning playing arcade games… so we then went in and spend the rest of the day playing arcade games! The only one I can remember from that lot was the Indiana Jones & The Temple Of Doom game. We never got that at Cross Road. Clearly not cool enough.

Oh yeah, and there was the Terminator 2 pinball game (still, I reckon, the best pinny ever produced), The Addams Family, and the car race one with the weird loop thing that accelerated the ball up to the speed of sound.
