An excellent summary of your Morris Odyssey! I support and applaud your efforts, while still, I'm afraid, rather preferring tennis.

One of the things I do love about Morris dancing – and many other English traditions – is no one is exactly sure why it's done. The origins really are lost in the proverbial mists of time. One does it simply because it's always been done. And, as you say, 'cos it's silly and a lot of fun. Enjoy.

Hahaha – Not quite as “Kiss – Kick” As “AA Gill's” write up, but reading that, made me realise why I enjoy it.

I think the sign off for any Morris article should be – “To be a Morris Man is to live a regardless life”

I like the Westminster clobber!
