Kidding, kidding – that's the beauty of personal taste! For instance, while I love a peaty whisky, some people earnestly believe that any peat ruins at all ruins it, and some people refuse to admit that any whiskies are made outside of Speyside! If you think it's your favourite, there's absolutely no way I can prove you wrong, and nor would I want to.

If you wanna go into the next level of flavour, there's single cask whisky – the Scotch Malt Whisky Society (http://www.smws.co.uk/whisky) is where you look for that sort of stuff, and it produces tasting notes like:

“Talcum powder and perfume on the nose inspired talk of seduction; horse tack and saddle soap brought it back to earth. We also found heather honey, fudge, sticky-toffee pudding, beeswax furniture polish and sherbet. The neat palate balanced sweetness (crème caramel) with perfume (“kissing a woman’s neck” ). A slightly bitter woodiness could not spoil the amazing, everlasting after-taste. The nose freshened with water, “lemon sherbet and grapes in flower meadows” said the Whisky-bard, “and angels holding candles.”

In answer to your question though, I'm reasonably sure I enjoyed Springbank, and would be more than prepared to have another try to substantiate that hypothesis.
