Having worked on websites for a travel company I can assure you that Blue Monday is very much real in that world. Before it was pointed out as a media event it was a statical trend we had to observe because the websites got more demand on the day, following on from that we started targeting offers and promotions for that day, and on to now were Travel tries to create the demand which is massively fulfilled by customers.

The whole thing seemed rather underhand and I left to get a job with more moral fibre. I play the piano in a brothel now.
