Wow, this is the oldest I've ever been.
As the guests of our Irish colleagues, my workmate Paul & I spent the evening in the hotel bar of the Rubens Hotel – a place I highly recommend visiting if you ever have the time, inclination & budget. Now it's not often I wax lyrical about an establishment's toilet facilities, but I assure you – these were absolutely second to none. Probably the biggest sign that I wasn't in Kansas anymore was the presence of heraldic crests on the walls, and not a single advertisement!
The handwashing gel (and hand lotion to follow) were from Molton Brown.
And finally, I don't know where they got their paper towels from, but they were the strongest and most absorbent I've ever encountered. Now I don't make a big song and dance of this fact, but I consider myself quite the connoisseur of paper towelling goods. If I'd had my wits about me I'd have procured a few for research purposes.
So anyway, that was that. I'll now have to try to remember to make observations about the same for this evening's meal. I think this is going to be a bit of a treat.
