Since Sunday we've visited Ardbeg, Laphroaig, Lagavulin, Bruichladdich and Bowmore distilleries, as well as going to a whisky nosing competition & scottish dance, and sampled about 20ish whiskies each. The credit card has taken a battering, however now we've left Islay things should ease off. I HOPE things ease off.
Currently we're sitting in a café in Oban listening to a bunch of septagenarians talk about colonic irrigation. We just missed the distillery tour due to being stuck behind idiots on the road, but not all is lost – we got to see the riveting Auchendrain Open Air Museum: a collection of 18th century buildings and farm implements. Like we need another distillery tour anyway.
Plus I've got a cold, and can't taste whisky any more anyway.
That's it for the minute. Get back to work you lot.
