A fine evening of drams last night with m’chum Rob and the lovely Liz: we made a hole in the Sample Stack and despatched a 1976 Longmorn (35yo!), a Wemyss Clynelish (Fresh Fruit Sorbet), an 8yo Lochside (thanks to Nicola for that), a 45yo Dumbarton grain, a Balvenie single cask release (The Cooper), a 17yo Clynelish Manager’s Dram (BOOM!), a Rare Old Ledaig from 1975 and the new 8yo Dramboree bottling of Ledaig, a 1980s Clynelish, a Glenfarclas Family Cask bottling from 1969, but the real hero of the piece was a 35yo Brora Special Release from 2012.
Still… it wasn’t quite a Dramboree, was it.
