Deadpool & Wolverine

My antipathy towards Marvel franchise continues. I’ve loved the Deadpool films because they seem like (though inevitably they’re carved out of some sort of canon) they’re the kind of Marvel films which just focus on the character (and boy does that character have character) rather than getting bogged down in all the lore and being book-accurate. This one, however, swung WAAYYYYY back over to Fan Service, and Liz bailed out early saying “OK, so they’re all just going to have a big fight now aren’t they – and then there’ll be a surprise ending where you think one of them’s going to die, then the other does”. I’d still maintain that this film does what it does fairly artfully inkeeping with the ludicrous character of Deadpool, but for me it was the weakest of the films to date.
