I’d read that Anna Kendrick had gathered some kudos for this one, so I was keen to see how many times she smiled or acted. Not at all what I expected, although I’m not clear where I got my expectations from because clearly I didn’t actually read a damn thing about this film before watching it, and possibly thought I did because Netflix kept shoving it into my eyeballs over the course of a couple of weeks. Based on a (horrific) true story. The period stylings were very good.
